The above process is a popular coating variant of metallic items and structures because of its effectiveness, durability and aesthetic advantages. Principal steps of powder spraying are as follows:

• Surface preparation: Metallic surface is subjected to a thorough cleansing from dirt, grease, corrosion and other impurities. This a very important step because a clean surface provides for better powder cohesion with metal.
• Powder application: Powder colorant consists of a mix of polymers, pigments and additives. This mix is charged electrostatically and applied to grounded surface. This creates the attraction effect providing for an even coating.
• Thermal treatment: Following powder application, the item undergoes thermal treatment in an oven. As a result of high temperature impact, the powder is melted creating an even and durable coating on the metallic surface. This phenomenon is called polymerization.
• Surface cooling and fixation: Following the polymerization, the item is cooled down, and powder coating gets fixated creating a solid and durable cover.

Advantages of powder spraying include high-level scratch-, chemical impact, UV-radiation and weather resistance. This method is ecologically safe because excludes use of solvents and prevents atmospheric pollution.
